PRINCIPALS MESSAGE- Galileo Galilei, after whom our school was named, was a man of great stature, As we commemorate his 400th birthday, we are reminded of the struggle he had to end an era of superstition and ignorance so that men might glimpse the wonder ofthe universe. The telescope fthat he perfectedj is the instrument still used for ex- ploring the heavens for truths. As young men and women of reason you too have a responsibility to the society in which you live. Too many of us are complacent and self satisfied with the role that we play. We take too many things for granted and let opportunities slip by - This we cannot afford to do. We must try to develop our abilities to their highest po- tential. Only then shall we be ready to become happy successful and contributing members of our society.
