Showing determination and real hustle, the Lion defense put up a terrific fight against S.I. , a strong senior ball club, on September 28 at Kezar Stadium. During the first quarter, the Wildcats were held in check, but as the second quarter brought fresh reserves, the defense was unable to stop S. I. advances. The final score was 39-O.
