S xg ' ik? - ...mfg 1 3 e 1 ,'.-ur, 1 .1- ...- galileo' s football team is lined up waiting hungrily for their kill at the pageant, 1-1-1- .- I as the flag rose above, gal's song girls, band and root- ing section carrie alive, the pageant, one of the most important events of the fall semester, takes place at kezar stadium annually with all the san francisco high schools participating. each school had a band playing, a rotc unit drilling, a football team playing and a block designed rooting section yelling. among the trophies given were: best sports- manship, best design in section and the best player. the 1959 pageant was one of the best ever held. under the forceful attack of the lions, the bears were defeated.
