THE TEiEscoPE t i ' JOAN Nlrl SON JAMES MACAEE The unfortunate accident of our sponsor, Mrs, Cullen, came at the outset of our publications, but we were very lucky to get an able substitute, Miss Ziebold, who did all in her power to help us, Mrs. Edwards took over the art work and the layouts, and Mr. Morse handled the ads, with the help of Babs Manning, Joan Nelson and Jim Magee, co- editorsfin-chief, worked desperately on layouts and planning, while Nadine Offenbach, club picture manager, Barbara Reed, music manager, and Delbert DeMartini and Dolly Tarantino, l-H and L-l editors, respectively, brought in their pictures to be mounted, Faithful Barry Jan developed his pictures at night and had them ready for mounting the next day, struggling along with him was Fred Lustig, Joe Gumina and Dick McDonell worked diligently to get their sports layouts ready by deadline time Write-ups to go with the pictures were typed constantly on the three noisy typewriters in the journalism room, At last everything was off to the printers and then . . . The day of delivery is now here, and the whole staff hopes you enjoy the book.
