Kristi Bothe - Strange Lady, and Bonme Lakey Much to the delight of many, the droma club was reactivated this year under the direction of Coral Loebel They presented a fal mystery comedy entitled Tea and Arsenic by Craig So- daro on November 6 and 7. Tea and Arsenic featured a murder in a rooming house run by two little old ladies The hilarious twists and mistaken identities served to keep the audi- ence guessing as to who done it until the very end The Christmas season was also celebrated by the drama club with their own spoofed version of The Grinch Who Stole Christ- mas which was presented at a high school assembly Havmg gained experience and confidence, the club then un- dertook a spring production of much greater magnitude and difficulty Presented on March 25 and 26. the melodrama. The Face on the Barroom Floor or Glimpsed Through the Sawdust by Tim Kelly, required a much more elaborate set which was designed and constructed under the direction of Bruce Kluber- tanz Also, music and lighting effects were an added feature of the production The play contained all the typical melodrama elements such as a sweet, innocent and rich young maiden, a conniving villain out to get her fortune, his accomplice - a woman of questionable character, and the hero who is tempo- rarily down on his luck With a complete ensemble of 32 mem- bers involved in the production. The Face on the Barroom Floor was indeed a fitting example of the wealth of falent at G-E-T. The conclusion to the drama club's activities for the year was a trip to the Fanny Hill dinner theatre on April 14 The club's most octive members were treated to a professional production of Neil Simon's The Odd Couple In al. this year has been a renaissance for G-E-T's drama club, may there be many more years to come Al pictures taken by John Graf of The Galesville Republican 22 Drama Club
