Football We’re No. 1 •because we were the only undefeated J.V. football team in the conference. -because we have never been beaten in 2 years of football. -because we had more spirit, enthusiasm, willingness to work, and desire than any oth- er team. -because we more than doubled our oppo- nents score for the season. -because we executed our plays so well that on two occasions we had touchdowns called back because we even faked out the refs, -because our defense only gave up 8 touch- downs in 6 games. -because we rushed for 1,294 yards in 6 games, an average of 216 yards per game and a 6.4 yard per carry average. -because we completed 59% of our passes for nearly 500 yards. •because we had over 400 assisted tackles to prove we worked as a team. -because we did all this despite the fact that we had only 15 players.
