After many hours of planning and hard work the Junior class trans- formed the gym into a beautiful garden setting for prom night. Flower trees, a fountain, garlands of flowers climbing brick walls added to the theme Sweetheart Tree. Queen Dorothy Emerson, King Gary Oines and attendants Vicki Fairbanks, Dean Olson, Kathy El- stad, Bob Ofsdahl, Linda McKeeth, Steve Kaste, Kathy Cantlon, Kerry Anderson reigned majestically over the evenings festivities. Anticipation, school spirit and excitement were the signs of the 1968 Homecoming festivities, October 4. Kicking off the Homecoming celebration were the crackling flames of the Redmen bonfire-pepfest with Gary Oines and Kathy Elstad beginning their reign as king and queen. The drums rolled as the cheerleaders led the parade followed by the marching band and many colorful floats. Shouts of approval climaxed a great finish to a victorious game. Students danced around the theme Indian Reservation with music by The Nightwalkers to conclude the evening. Queen Kathy Elstad and King Gary Oines. 30
