Trick or treat for UNICEF! On Halloween FHA mem- bers solicited funds for the purpose of supplying emergency food and medicine for children in under- developed nations. A babysitting service was offered free of charge to mothers of young children who otherwise might not have been able to vote in the national election. A Christmas pizza party for mem- bers was held and gifts were given for teenagers at the Children's Center in Sparta. FHA members attend- ed and participated in the fall rally held at Mel-Min at which time the theme Jobs, Careers and You was developed. A Mr. Irrestible dance was held in January. A party for residents of the country home at Whitehall was planned. Other activities included a special event for senior FHA members, serving at the Athletic banquet and the June trip to Green Lake by three or four girls se- lected on the basis of work in the organization during the past year or on their potential for leadership as officers in the coming year. 1968-69 officers: President Kathy Cantlon, Vice president Sharon Oanes, Secretary Angela Cantlon, Treasurer Kathy Collins, Historian Vicki Oanes, Recreation and Music chairman Rita Docken, De- gree chairman Kim Cantlon, Parliamentarian Kathy Corcoran. homemakers of america Popcorn sold by the FHA girls was a favorite with the football fans.
