Dress Reversal by John Gerber is a one-act comedy with an all-male cast who also inter- pret female roles. As the title indicates, the action takes place on dress rehearsal night which turns into a panic when the actors fail to follow their cues, the bells won't ring, and costumes don't fit. The coach figures prominently as a distraught individual who finally succumbs to the uproar and interruptions. Gary Nelsestuen, Wayne Affeldt and Pat Cant- lon, members of the 1961 State-Winning Meat Team, competed with 31 other state champion teams at Kansas City on October 12, 1961. Along with four other state teams, they won the highest award possible which was the Gold Emblem Award. Each member also won a Gold Award Medal. Homemaker of Tomorrow Shirley Severson received the Betty Crocker Homemaker of Tomorrow Award after obtaining the highest score in a Homemaking test. Four girls represented the Gale-Ettrick Chapter for three days at Green Lake. Three of the girls were chosen from F.H.A. and one member is from chorus. Three days and three evenings were spent there. During the day, meetings are attended. At night, they have a Vesper Service, a formal banquet, and on the last night a white dress supper. Each evening the chorus sings a number of selections for the evening’s entertainment. Last summer Carolyn Severson, Shirley Severson, and Judy Bishop went as voting delegates, and Sandra Conrad participated in the State Chorus, The girls were accompanied to Green Lake by their advisor, Miss Olia. Homecoming The 1962 Homecoming dance was held October 27 after a thrilling afternoon hi-lighted by defeating Onalaska in the Homecoming game to finish an undefeated season. The decorated gym provided an Autumn atmosphere to carry out the theme Autumn Leaves. The school dance band provided the music.
