The floor, as the deck, had a gangplank for an entrance. A mural of sailboats under a setting sun and a lighthouse from which punch was served completed the theme ‘Red Sails In The Sunset,’ which was seen in silver letters behind the orchestra. We danced to the music of Larry Zie- mann and his orchestra. Judy was chosen National Ski Queen Friday evening, January 6, at Westby after a personal interview by 3 judges. There were 30 candidates from Wis., Iowa, and Minn. The Snoflake Ski Club bought Judy’s outfit. She reigned over the tourn- ament Saturday and Sunday, also at a dance Saturday night at Cashton. Sunday afternoon, Mr. Eastman, presented her and she was crowned by Gen. Ralph Olson, representing the governor of Wisconsin.
