SENIOR CLASS Three years crowded with studies, activities, and fun at Galesburg High has come to a close for the class of 1947. Since their debut at G.H.S. these students have proved invaluable through these past thre: years. Serving on the Budget and Reflector staffs. G.S.L. and B.If., Student Council, and the many other organizations, the graduates have worked to make all they attempt a success. Their athletes have brought honors to our school. The basketball team has journeyed to the state tournament for the past three years. Football, baseball, and track stars have also brought glory to the school. The band, orchestra, and choir have been supported by the graduating seniors. The underclassmen will miss the seniors: their gaiety and their cheerfulness will always be remembered: and although their places will be filled, they will never be forgotten. The seniors will be missed, but they will also miss dear old Galesburg High. They can still remember their first days as sophomores, new students in new surround- ings. Adapting themselves to this new life, they journeyed into their junior year. This brought more responsibilities and duties. The last and probablv the most important year was soon upon them. Now they were the leaders of the student body. They decorated floats for the Homecoming narade, cheered the basketball team on to a third year at state, and attended dances, assemblies, plays, and concerts. Wlmeia spring came, they were busy with banquets, picnics, and the spring formal. Commencement came before they knew it. Donning their caps and gowns, they bade G.H.S. a Hnal adieu. They were looking for- ward to the life ahead of them but also looking back to high school experiences they will never forget. i tp Club and athletic leaders: Student Council leaders: Ci.S.l.. and lS,l5. leaders: anding: Charles Kline, Cilitl l.or- Standing: Anita Storey, llomer lleislier.
