To the Class of ’81: Perhaps this seems so inevitable to you that the uniqueness of the moment is lost. The summer, relatives, parties, plans for college, or marriage may combine to prevent you from being fully aware of the transition that has taken place. The community has been signalled by the occasion of your graduation that another group of young people has run the K12 gauntlet successfully. All are hoping that the thirteen year trial has provided you with approaches to problem-solving that will serve you well. This process of promotion from one grade to the next has always been a source of pride, but there is no other time in your life when so many people share in the celebration of your accomplishments. Your friends, family, and teachers have watched you mature l°ng enough to want to savor this level of education in your life. It is your responsibility to those of us with fond memories of your years to continue to be a source of pride in your education to come, whatever form it may take. G-A Faculty
