Courtesy of Kalamazoo Gazette G-A’s Denny Schug (right) had a lot to talk about last fail with his hospital roommate Martin Kube of Gobles. The photograph above is an unusual one. Last fail, on Fri., Oct. 3, during the Ban- gor football game, Denny Schug’s left knee received ligament damage requiring sur- gery. During his stay at the hospital, Denny found that his roommate, Martin Kube of Gobles, not only received similar injuries to the same knee, but had the same num- ber (62). Also, both played for the Gazette’s no. 1-ranked team in his class. Denny, a defensive end-offensive guard, was greatly missed on the field by his teammates, but showed his dedication and enthusiasm on the sidelines for the rest of the season.
