Class History of ’49 The class of 1949 began on September 5, 1936 in the old school building. Miss Densraore had the job of getting us acquainted wlth school life. She had 15 pupils: Barbara Burgess, Beatrice Duraonceaux, MaryLou Rogers, Rodney Towne, Edwin Randol, Theron Rayman, Roger Kirk, Larry Carson, Melicent Wayne, Joe Welling, J a ck Tibbitts, Barbara Preston, Franz Bresson, William Belden and Robert Struble. Miss Densmore enjoyed us so much that she stayed with us through the first grade. We moved into the new school building this. year. Barbara Preston and William Belden left but Dick Perkins, Harry Gregg, Bonnie Rohm, Norine Ash, Richard Campbell and Betty Moaes came to take their place. The next year Miss Sugel had the job of trying to teach us something. We had a new novelty this year a pair of twins joined us; Unis and Mary Unks, but they must not have liked our company because they left before the yaar was over. ELeaaor Rowlson joined us this year. In the fourth grade we had Mrs. Snow as teacher. During this jiear Norine Ash and Franz Bresson left us and Ellen Wade, Stanley McMichael, and Betty and Herbert Lucas joined our class. We now have a memborship of 23 students. The next year we must have really been bad because it took two teachers to handle us, Miss Brown and Mrs. Howell. This year Donna Bradley, Juanita Goble, Lyle Inraan, James Morrell, Betty Norris, Roy Osborne, Jerry Upham, Charles Burton and James Webber joined us. ■Before the year was over some of them left, Donna Bradley, James Morrell, Betty Norris and Roy Osborne and since Dick Perkins and Jack Tibbitts had stayed behind with Mrs. Snow our class was much sroaller. In the sixth grade Mrs. Babcock took charge of us. We added five new members this year, Jack Money, Katherine Cline, Andy Dove, Ted Hewitt and Bob Wilson. We now felt very grown up because we were ready to enter Junior High. This year Bonnie Rohm left us but Guyetta Dowling and Frances Bristol came to take her place. Our teacher this year was Mrs. LaPine. The eighth gradw was just another school year. Stanley Hilts and Junell Smath joined us but left before the year was o.ver. Harry Gregg and James Webber and Jack Money also left us. Our class now consists of 18 members. 45 we entered the ninth grade. Ted Hewitt grew tired of us and left but many more came to take his place. Norine Ash found that she could not get along without us so back she came and along with her Dorothy Briggs, Iris Campbell, Marilyn Fluke, Pauline Meade, Don Shirah, Don Smith and Neva Whhley.
