l l I DEDICATION MR. W. S. DAVISON We live in a very progressive world. It is an age of dy- namic happenings . But along with our success we, as young adults, have problems. We must prepare ourselves to become real members of the world. A high school education alone is no longer sufficient- we need more. We must find out what we are best suited for and most interested in. Alone, we are unable to answer these questions about our future, we need the advice of an experienced person. Parents are sometimes able to help us but many times they aren't able to provide the testing pro- grams that are so useful. The students at G.H.A. feel that we have one of the most capable and willing persons to guide us that is available-Mr. W. S. Davison-who has served as our counselor for seven years. Some consider him a master teacher. Mr. Davison has been a high school teacher, a high school principal, dean of a junior college, superintendent of schools, and a college professor. During World War I, he saw active duty. After World War II, he served in the Southeast Kansas Veterans Guidance Center for two and one-half years. He has been a friend to both students and faculty and his services here have been greatly appreciated by both. Mr. Davison closed an interview with the following state- ment: If I have a message for our students it is this: 'strive to understand yourself, your interests and your abilities' There is a job in your future for all of you, if you locate your special ability and prepare for that job. There are al- most no jobs available for the unprepared. This page is sponsored by THE BOARD OF EDUCATION
