On meeting for organization of the class, the following officers were elected: Frankie Martin, presidentg Norman Hayes, vice-president: Phyllis Vogel, secretaryg Charles Long, treasurerg Yvonne Riley, reporter, lerry Martin and Wanda Lewellyn, student council representatives, and Lesta Secrist, alternate. Coach Max Wilson and Mrs. Leslie Leonard were class sponsors. Wanda Lewellyn was chosen by the Pep Club as cheer leader for the sophomore class, and loan La- Turner was the sophomore candidate for Football Queen and the class was honored by having joan as a representative in the Blue and White queen Contest. The class held a Wiener roast at the Max Shaw home in Spring Grove on October lO. The class spon- sored an all school dance in the high school gym on lanuary l6. All the members in the class took part in the colorful Old Wild West Shown which was presented in the high school auditorium on February 29 and again at Liberty grade school on March 7. One ot the last activities of the year was a hamburger fry held in the Boy Scout cabin at Schermerhorn Park on March I3. 22
