E Eggs? 5-55 Wayne McGuire K Q Jack Shears Delores Cure JUNIOR On September 3, l946, seventy NSophies', which means nwise and foolishn, entered the doors of G.H.S. At our first class meeting the following officers were elected: Bob Draper-presi- dent, Avis Hollingsworth-vice president, and Bill Edwards-treas- urer. The Student Council representatives were Doris Martin and Wayne McGuire. Miss Dorothy Fisher and Mr. Howard Weld were the sponsors. Avis Hollingsworth was our candidate for football queen and Helen Hatfield was our candidate for queen of the NBlue and Whiten. On September l, l9b7, fifty-two students enrolled in the Junior Class with glee. The following officers were elected: Wayne McGuire-president, Jack Shears-vice presidentg and Delores Cure-secretary-treasurer. Doris Martin and Loren Cagle were the Student Council representatives. Miss Dorothy Fisher and Mr. Preston Bullock were the sponsors. Norma Jean Madden, a junior, was elected by the football boys as a candidate for football queen. Norma Jean ranked second in the contest. Betty Mitchell was elected to represent the Junior Class in the WBlue and Whiten queen contest. Betty placed second. The Junior Class Play, 'Gangway For Ghostsn, a three-act mystery comedy, was presented December 5, at the High School Aud- itorium under the direction of Miss Fisher and Mr. Bullock. The Senior Class was delightfully entertained by the Juniors at the annual Junior-Senior banquet in May. . Several parties were enjoyed by the class throughout the year.
