Betty Sexton JUNIORS Norma Langford Johnny Shetley In September l9hL, 67 'Sophies' enrolled in Galena High School. At a meeting the following officers were elected tor the term: Bud Rchrbough, president, Doris McElroy, vice president, Carles Moore, secretary: and Tommy Thomas, treasurer. Student Council representatives were Marion lurray and Norma Crookshank. On October 26 a weiner roast was held at Schmerhorn Park. Pillie Smith was chosen as queen candidate for the'Blue and White'.Joan Martin, a sophomore, was crowned queen at the Twin Valley Track Meet. Miss Myra Louise Baker and Mr. Preston Bullock were our sponsors. September l9u5, brought 55 Juniors tc G.H.S. At the first class meeting Norms Langford was elected presidentglohnny Shetley vice presidentg Betty Sexton-secretarygend Joan Martin-treasurer. Student Council members were Billie Smith and Paul Cantrell. The Junior sponsors' Miss Mary Lucile Baker and lies lyrs Louise Baker received many compliments on the successful perfor- mance ot the Junior Play, 'Cyclone Sally', which was presented December 7, in the high school auditorium. Harlem Joseph was our candidate in the 'Blue and lhite' contest. The junior class contributed some excellent material to the athletic department--Sandford, Wallace, Albright, Proctor, Murray and others. A skating party was held January 28, at the Galena Roller Rink. On May 3, the Seniors were entertained by the Juniors at a delightful banquet. . Joan Martin
