,Q ,g llumnouas 4 4 ag 'W owl 'WP' Bob Keyes Freda Wilkerson Wanda LOU EVeI'ett Seventy five sophomores entered Galena High School on September 23, 1942 To make an outstanding year we succeeded ir placing our candidate, Violet Jeane Hall, as oueen of the annual A party was given in our honor by the Junior and Senior classes With the aid of our sponsors, Miss Margaret Durkin and Miss Marian Lon our class enjoyed several parties throughout the year The sophomores were well represented in both athletic and musical activ ities Our class officers were Bob Anderson, president, Violet Jeane Hall, vice president, LaRaine Murray, secretary treasurer, and Jeffy Martin and Rayma Mitchell, cheer leaders In 1945 forty seven members returned to begin their junior year in Galena High School As Juniors we succeeded in placing our candidate, Shirley Dawson, as queen of the Blue and Vhite Our class play, USeeing Doublev, was presented December 3 to a large and appreciative audience The class held a skating party in February The seniors were our guests at the Junior Senior Banquet early in May It vas voted a delightiul and memorable occasion by everyone who attended The junior class va vell represented in both the fleld oi athletics and musical events dent, HGL Lou verett, secretary, and LaBaine 'ur1ay, trea urer Our spon ors vho have helped u make this a successful yeil ale 1 W1 y Lucile B ker and Ml Pearl fantl no X Q - U D . 1 A , A l ' gy ' 1 .
