Our golf season proved to be most interesting and ex- citing. We had four returning lettermen- three seniors and one sophomore, so we had felt that if we could get started fast, we could place first in the Coulee Conference. However, Onalaska and West Salem played in true championship style and as a result we finished in third place. As the season progressed, our team became more consistent and delibrate in its scoring. At Arcadia We won the regional tournament. On to Black River Falls to compete in the section Where We finished regulation play in a three- way tie with LaCrosse Central and Wisconsin Rapids. In a sudden death playoff We Won the sectional and quali- fied for the State golf tournament at Madison. This was the second time in four years that we have sent a golf team to the state tournament. For a retiring golf coach it was a most rewarding year. ABOVE Where's the ball? ABOVE: Twist and shout . . . Fore!
