Expanding the number of members and personnel has created a better balance and sound. In the fall of 1971, officers were elected: Jeff Hogden, President, Leda Severson, Vice- President, Pam Sacia, Secretary, and jane Beirne, Treasurer. A stage band was formed to produce another form of music that the students enjoyed. Three concerts were presented during the school year: a Christmas concert that included medleys of Christmas songs: a pops concert in February with marches, rock tunes, and selections from musicals, and a spring concert presenting music performed at Festival. During January, Mr. Burkhart, a student teacher from La Crosse State University helped Mr. Rowlands with the Band activities and has been a great help to us all.
