During fhe few franfic weelcs before Follies, fhey pracficed nearly every morning, memo- rizing numerous scores for fhe producfion. ln fhe midsf of preparing for Follies, fhe Sfardusfers were honored by being asked 'lo perform af fhe Sunday dinner for fhe evaluafors. Majoreiies and Drill Team Perform ai Bonfire Pep Rallies Performing regularly af half-fime during foofball games were fhe Maioreffes and Drill Team. The Maioreffes also performed af baskefball games. Their presenfafions added spark fo fhe Homecoming bon- fire and spirif fo fhe school pep rallies. Under fhe guidance of fheir adviser. Miss Barbara Hill, fhe club sponsored a Friday Nighf Maioreffe Dance. Proceeds from fhis dance were used fo buy uniforms for all fhe girls, including fhe alfernafes who were added fo fhe regular squad lafer. Anofher parf of fhe half-fime performance was provided by fhe Drill Team. Wearing blue and whife uniforms. fhey carried fhe sfafe. counfry, and school flags af fhe foofball pre-game ceremonies. Sponsored by Miss Frieda Price, 'l'he six girls on fhe squad marched in The Gaifhersburg Labor Day Parade and fhe Befhesda Chrisfmas Parade. They also feafured fhe Sfardusfers af a dance in April for fheir year's money-making proiecf.
