This year, the G.H.S. hoop squad saw one of its best seasons. Winning fifteen games, the team played an outstanding schedule. One factor which led lo the great success of the '56-'57 team was the number of tall men on the squad. Credit, loo, goes to coach l'at McCarthy who led the team to its victories. ancl the Court. On the Gridiron Although the Trojan grid squad did not have an outstanding winning record, the team kept up a fighting spirit throughout the 1956 season. Adding to their troubles, the Trojans lost several men because of injuries. G. H. S. lost the traditional Rockville game this year, but both team and onlookers showed undaunted spirit throughout the muddy battle.
