The Student Council convenes. Under the direction of Patsy Messer, President, the Student Council has played an important part in writing the drama of the 1956-'57 school year. Sponsoring the activity card program and the Follies, Student Council members filled major roles. As Vice-president, Bob Farmer led the Senate. Other S. Th Student Body Speaks The Gaithersburg Senate operates as the representative body of the school. Each homeroom sends a delegate to this body. These delegates, acting in the interest of the students whom they represent, discuss and vote on all major school problems. They also assist the Student Council in planning and carrying out various activities.
