Ur Minor For their march festival in May, our Gaithersburg band spent many sixth periods practicing. Brass ensembles and solos added variety to the program of marches. To tone down the brasses, to get the squeaks out of the clarinetsf Band Director Frieda Price' worked tirelessly with band members. The band in its many performances during the year did itself proud and made Gaithersburg? band enviable among other schools. From the seventh and eighth grade, a beginners' band continued to provide feeder material for the advanced band. Juniors Bussard 5... In Mwjo Choral music department provided its biggest program in May. Meeting in several glee club groups, students took choral music in their regular, daily schedule. Under the direction of Mr. William Earl, the groups sang music from Bach to popular show tunes. Small ensembles formed late in the year to add variety and interest, For civic functions in the community these groups added entertainment.
