The only official junior college organization to recognize academic ex- cellence and leadership ability is Phi Theta Kappa. Membership is by invitation only. To be eligible for membership in the Rho Mu Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, a student shall be carrying in full-time load and shall have attained the Dean ' s List, a 3.5 average. At least 12 hours of his work must be in course leading to a recognized degree at Gainesville Junior College. Advisors: Dr. Hiler and Ms. Hanner. 1976 members are: Back Row(L to R) Don Watkins, Dr. Hiler- sponsor, Lowell Mooney, Debbie Roper, Glendon Allen, Elaine Martin, Peggy Bentley, Debbie Gaunt, Tony Embrick, Kay Wiley, Vicki Hill, David Hawks-president, and Elizabeth Smith. Collegiate Civitans Collegiate Civitan is a coeducational club. It is a service organization designed to build good citizenship. Active member- ship shall consist of students who are elected to the club.
