Girls' Physical Education LINDA EVANS Linda Evans was chosen to re- ceive the girls' physical education award. She participated in PE all four years of her high school career, becoming noted for her all-round athletic ability. 22 Athletics MIKE NEW TON Mike Newton was selected to re- ceive the athletic award from the graduating class of 1965. I-Ie received eleven varsity letters during his high school career. I-Ie was selected to the All-District basketball team his senior year, and his junior and senior years he went to the State Track and Field Meet, where he finished third in the shot-put both years. ai 3 l QE

Alba Salutatorian MARY ANN HARRELL Mary Ann Harrell received the honor of salutatorian of the l965 class. She was in both honor societies four years, serving as president her last year. She received the ceramic scholarship award for three years and was Soroptimist Girl of the Month for October. Mary Ann was a member of the Latin Club, Student Council and Senior play cast. Mary Ann has been on the Annual staff four years and served as Senior Co- editor-in-chief. I-ler numerical average was 943375. I . YWWWM, 21 4

Commercial Subjects BONNIE PARTEN Bonnie Parten was honored as the outstanding student in commer- cial subjects. She took courses in bookkeeping, shorthand and typing. Bonnie had a superior average in the business department, along with good co-operation and a good at- titude. 2 fi 2 i Mmm Industrial Arts JERR Y KNE UP PER The outstanding student in the industrial arts field was Jerry Kneupper. Jerry displayed fine qualities of attitude, co-operation with the teacher, scholarship, and a desire for learning this type of work. 23 1 l
