The winning time for eating 100 shelled peanuts was 4 min- utes and 15 seconds set by Ron Benudiz, far short of the world record of 59.2 seconds. Clayton Muns twisted his face into first place in the gurning contest and Mr. Correa took the heavyweight division armwrestling title. Rick Goss and Richard White tied for the lightweight division. Mr. Blah- nik served as auctioneer and took bids on box lunches. The American Heritage Dress Up Day turned out to he an activity many students enjoyed. The idea of the day was to remind everyone of Americais melting P con- cept - that we are composed of numerous ethnic groups all con- tributing to our nation's greatness. The Bicentennial Dance was an optional costume dance. Many couples did dress in costume. Cathy Thiele and Ron Casteel won the most original costume awards while Tracey Redden and Bill Anderson received awards for the most authentic costumes. Bicentennial 125
