SENIORS Mildred Cha-Pman Lamp Brenda Grllespxe A Roarettes 3 4 Girls Glee Club I 2 3 Offrce Staff 3 4 SENIOR HISTORY There were many scared seventh graders that September mornrng when we all entered Lmcoln s Halls for the frrst txme Thrs was our frrst attempt to change classes I can still see us walkrng down the halls askmg everyone else where we were supposed to go Thls was the year we all began to sprout our wmgs The next year our wrngs contmued to form Th1s year tt was decrded that we should be rn a self contalned classroom to cut down confusron Smce we were rn unlor Htgh we had dlfferent bells than the hrgh school and there was too much drsturbance durmg the changrng of classes Thrs year Mrs Yearlrng, Mrs Walters and Mr Rarey drd much to send our hrgh school careers on therr way At that trme we couldn't understand what they meant but now we are very grateful for what they drd drrve tnto our heads Then we took a great brg step We became part of the hrgh school we were freshmen Our frrst tnterest rn class projects began to show Our class offrcers thrs year were Carol Mott, Preszderzl Doug Shadwrck Vzce Preszdent Anxta Luft Secretary and Sharon Dougan Treasurer At th1s trme we started our projects wrth the rdea of a senror trlp For our projects we had numerous paper drxves a car wash bake sales, a skatrng party and the usual record dances Thls year we trred to use those wlngs and rt was fatrly success ful w1th the gurdance of our advrsors Mrs Hobert Cress Mrss Helen Truex, and Mr Frank Krautwater, plus that over seemg eye of Mr jack E Brown the prrncrple Our sophomore year started off wlth the same advrsors but different offrcers The class offlcers thrs year were John Margarum Preszderzt Andy Andrews Vzce Preszdenl Drane Nell Secretary and Dong Shadwrck Treasurer Our actrvrtres th1s year were paper drlves bake sales after game dances and skatmg partres We also sold prllows that were blue wxth a gold L on them For the frrst ttme rn our hlgh school careers we decorated the gym The occasron was the Sweetheart Prom a new and excrtrng experrence for us all The class became a llttle concerned over a problem rn our school Our school had no annual No other class showed any srgns of publrshmg an annual so we took the task Thus the flrst year book to be publlshed rn the school for twenty frve years was made avarlable for the students of Lrncoln Hlgh School by our class as Sophomores The fall of our junror year started off wlth a bang as we decorated the gym and made plans for the Foot ball Homecomrng Thrs year our advrsors changed Miss Truex was sttll wrth us but we added Mr Brannon, Mrs Murray Mr McDowell and Mrs Baker As the year contrnued we had record dances and the usual other act1v1t1es We presented our fxrst play, Meet Me zn St Louzs wrth Mr Klrne s assrstance as faculty ad vrsor and dramatrc coach The year was completed as we gave the senlor class a prom The theme of the prom was Hawauan Thrs IS our senror year thrs year we graduate As the Echo goes to press we have presented our play The Lzttle Dog Laughed wrth Mr Klme s help agaln, and had our record dances Plans are now In the makrng for a carnrval and a trrp Our offrcers for the last two years have been the same John Margarum Preszdent Jerry Byers V1cePreszder1t Bette Fox Secretary and Doug Shadwlck Treasurer Our advisors have changed however Mr Manley Lewls Mr Robert Kessler and Mrs Edna Baker Plus addrng anew prmclpal Mr Barley Bush We are now approachrng the doorway of the b1g wrde, wonderful world Our wrngs are fully grown now for at least they are supposed to bel Lmcoln rs now our Alma Mater We hear the strarns of Pomp and Cucum- stance and we are on our way We leave Llncoln wrth but humble words THANKS LINCOLN Two words only but those two words are a lot of thanks to a lot of people the teachers, the Board of Educatton the admrnrstratlve staff the underclassmen the graduates the bus drxvers the cooks the custodrans and the experrences An awful lot of thrngs but consolrdated 1nto one they re Lincoln Hrgh School We say these words as our farewell THANKS LINCOLN MAY WE ALWAYS REMEMBER THESE WORDS OUR ALMA MATER Hazl oh bazl our Alma Mater Dear old Lmcoln Hzgh We ll be true to thee forever Tzll the day we dze Blue and Gold our sacred colors Make our spzrzts soar We wzll honor and revere thee Smg thy prazse once more . , I .
