Beauty Between the drives of Garfield Boulevard, just east of Western Avenue, there is a beautiful and large flower bed, which has been pictured here. lt is only one of the many beauty spots in the school district. Other parks in the neighborhood with beautiful landscaping and flowers are Davis Square, Cornell Square, Sherman Park, and Marquette Park. Residents within the community, too, take pride in their well'kept lawns, hedges, and flowers. And many beautiful homes, churches, and public buildings are also apparent in our community. The grounds of the school too, have well-kept lawns and neatly trimmed hedges which contribute to the beauty of the community and are ap- preciated by the students and faculty.

jnandpofdativn The Gage Park High School community is well served by transportation systems. For instance, on 55th our community is served by the number 6 bus which connects the Chicago Loop to Trumbull Avenue. Many Gage Park students use this bus in going and coming from school. The Chicago Transit Authority serves us with busses on 59th street and California Avenue. Also new streetcars provide frequent and rapid service on Western Avenue. In using this service our students always board in a mannerly fashion and conduct themselves well on these vehicles.

On Friday many happy livers iitterbug to the latest records and have the time of their lives. This well-known building also provides factors which mold character, such as sports, movies, and clubs. The fieldhouse is the daily meeting ground of Gage's contributions to future citizenship. There is also a library ready to provide the material the Gagers need whether for work or pleasure.
