H1 STQRY It was on the third day of September 1951 that 19 freshmen started that all important climb through high school. We selected Miss Matz as our class advisor and elected the following class officers: president, Delyle Schaibleg vice president, Darlene Mueller, secretary, Devaris Ammon, treasurer, Lavonne Baer. The first big event in our lives as freshmen came in the latter part of September when the Sophomores initiated us and we became full fledged freshmen. On February lb, we gave the sophomores a customary return party. It was during the course of the year that we lost four students, Jerry Nitschke, Florence Holstrom, Gordon Wegner, and Lorraine Bentz. Our Sophomore year opened the 2nd of September with 16 enrollments. We had three new class mates: Irene Mayer, Dayton Schroeder, and Marjorie Ritola, but Lawrence Summerfield and Jermaine Nitschke dropped out. In September we had the privilege of initiating the freshman and later had a Sophomore return party given to us. We elected the following class officersg president, Alton Giengerg vice president, Arlene Jerkeg secretary, DeVaris Ammon, treasurer, LaVonne Baer, and class advisor, Mr. Rogue. After a few weeks of school we lost two students: Darlene Mueller who moved to California and Marjorie Ritola, who went to Nebraska. School opened on the 7th of September with 13 juniors enrolling. We gained two new students, Ernest Summerfield and Willie Grosz, but we lost Dayton Schroeder, Rose Marie Schweitzer, and Gordon Gumke, who moved up one year. We elected class officers as follows, president, Willie Groszg vice president, Irene Mayer, secretary-treasurer, Devaris Ammon and class advisor, Mr. Andresen. lt was in April when we motored to Jamestown and honored the Seniors with the Junior and Senior Banquet, which was held in the Palace Cafe. It was indeed a joyous occasion. We opened our senior year with an enrollment of eleven. Alton Gienger transferred to Jamestown and DeVaris Ammon was married. We held our class meeting and elected the following officers: president, Willie Groszg vice president, Delyle Schaibleg secretary- treasurer, Lavonne Baer, and class advisor, Mr. Andresen. On the 19th of November we sponsored a Senior Dinner which was held in the Congregational Ghurch. We sponsored a very successful talent show on the 16th of February.
