H 6 3 .- The 'SL grid season at Gackle high School proved to be the greatest in the school's history. Playing both eight and six man football, the Orioles completed the season with a 6 win, 2 loss, and 1 tie record. Co-captains elected at the season's close were Wallace Kinzler and Eugene Kinzler. Wallace Kinzler, Gack1e's ace end proved to be very effective on gffensive pass receiving and led the team's scoring with 4 points. Willie Grosz, Gackle's sparkplug halfback, was a very close contender in the scoring race hitting pay dirt on 56 points. Wil1ie's hard fighting spirit won him the admiration of the students by naming him 'most valuable player' on the football squad. The Orioles were coached by Eino Martino, a graduate of the N. D. A.
