8:20 - good I still can catch over half the class.. .I'll just quietly step in the back door and slip into a seat... almost there, he isn't looking, he still hasn't looked. I'm almost into my seat... yes sir, no sir, it won't happen again sir.. .Jack, hey Jack, Jack... I knew I should have brushed my teeth this morning... hey, Jack! did I miss anything? a pop test! -1 wonder if that's good or bad... I wonder if it s too late to transfer into music appreciation?... it s only November... then again, the thought of Kate Smith singing Wagnerian operas on old 45's just doesn't excite me - should have listened to my argonaut and transferred... I wonder how he likes it at Clemson?... I've got to remember to buy a notebook for this class - is that the bell or my hangover? I always regret the morning after a Furman night at the Warehouse... actually, I have no reason to be hungover -1 worked off any alcohol in my system just trying to get to the dance floor ... The James Buchanan Duke Library -isn't it ironic that this library was endowed by the nation's wealthiest tobacco family and there isn t even a smokers lounge?... typically Furman - a Baptist school without a chapel.. .of course the supreme irony is the function of this library. campus social center.. I wonder if it 's true that you can reserve dates at the front desk? -I've always wondered what goes on in those upstair cages... I've only been here fifteen minutes and I've already been asked to play tennis four times, basketball three times, and propositioned once - somebody should report that librarian to the psychology department... little wonder she's always at the service desk -she must be the one on overnight reserve... what the hell. I'll give in-not to the librarian, to studying - back to the dorms to relax and catch up on my reading ... I'm three months behind on Playboy ... Furman Life 21
