Music Club The purpose of the Music Club is to enable the students and faculty not only to learn more about music, but also to become better acquainted with each other. Representing Furman at the State Federation meetings was one of the activities of the club. Highlights this year included a welcoming reception for the new members, a discussion of music by the foreign students, talks by faculty members, and programs by the student members. The officers were: Sally Watson, president; Nancy Shannon, vice-president; Sarah Ann Gambrel!, secretary-treasurer; Ellen Culbertson, program chairman; and Hoagy Baumgardner, publicity chairman. Philosophy Club Zeta Alpha meets one Thursday in each month to seek the answer to some of the big questions in life. One of the advantages of the club is that it permits consideration of problems from all of the other departments on the campus. Officers for this year included: Jerry Monroe, president; James Jordan, vice-president; Herman Williams, program vice-president; Jack Brown, secretary-treasurer.
