MR. E. N. FARNELL Principal PRINCIPAL ' S MESSAGE I have been pleased with your accomplishments during the past five years. Now, you leave us to take your rightful place in the world, at one of the most interesting- and chal- lenging times in the- history of man. Tremendous changes are taking place, traditions are being shattered, and you must be able to make the proper adjustment to these changes. During times like these, I urge you to build your life upon: (1) a proper sense of values, (2) Poise, and (3) per- sonal efforts. As you grow you will realize that a strong per- sonality is more valuable than material wealth and that suc- cess will come to you only through your own efforts. I urge you to dream lofty dreams; dreams that are worthy of the men and women of America. As the poet says: Keep thou thy dreams — though joy should pass you by, Hold to the rainbow beauty of thy thoughts; It is for dreams that men will oftimes die, And count the passing pain of death as naught.
