Taking a Look at Ourselves We have to look at ourselves, and so We want to be fit for ourselves to know, We want to be able, as days go by, Always to look ourselves straight in the eye; We don’t want to stand, with the setting sun And hate ourselves for things we’ve done. We don’t want to keep on a closet shelf A lot of secrets about ourselves, And fool ourself, as we come and go, Into thinking that nobody else will know The kind of men we really are; We don’t want to dress up ourselves in sham. We want to go out with our heads erect, We want to deserve all men’s respect; But here in the struggle for fame and self We want to be able to like ourselves. We don’t want to look at ourselves and know That we bluster and bluff an empty show. We can never hide ourselves from ourself; We see what others may never see; We know what others may never know, We never can fool ourself, and so, Whatever happens, we want to be Self-respecting and conscience free.

The School Board has the responsibility of operating the whole school system. Officials on the School Board are elected every four years by the tax- payers.
