DEDICA TION Mrs. Lottie Ruth Tate Ten years ago this fall she joined the faculty of Fulton High School as a classroom teacher. During the decade she has been a part of this system her sincerity, devotion, promptness, zest for living, and her deep desire to help each and every student learn, endears her to all who have had the privilege of studying biology and English I with her. For them, her ready encouragement and wise guidance have helped unlock the doors of wisdom and led them to a better understanding. She has served as class sponsor at several levels and has been one of the advisers of the Mathematics and Science Club since its organization. The Vespa staff is pleased to dedicate the 1963 Vespa to--Mrs. Lottie Ruth Tate.

ADMINIS L. E. Lewis, Superintendent of Schools SUPERINTENDENT L. E. LEWIS L. E. Lewis became Superintendent of the Fulton Public Schools July 1, 1962. Born at Advance, Missouri, he received his elementary and secondary education at Bloomfield. He holds the B.S. and Masters degrees from the Uni- versity of Missouri. Mr. Lewis spent three years in the Navy, serving in the South Pacific area where he was on a sub-chaser which was converted into a mine sweeper. His experience in the educational profession began at Bolivar where he taught social studies and public speaking. He was Superintendent of Schools at Paris then became Director of Admissions at Christian College, Columbia, before assuming the position in Fulton. His wife is the former Miss Betty Pettigrew of St. James. They have two children, Sonya, eight and Doug, three. Board of Education FRONT ROW—Dr. John Bosch, Mrs. Dorothy Schmid—secretary, Dr. Richard White and Maynard DeNuei. ROW II-- L. E. Lewis, superintendent, Howard Blattner, Ovid H. Bell—president, O. T. Harris—vice president. Six civic-minded men who devote considerable time and untiring efforts to the Fulton Schools make up the Board of Education. They are ever interested in fulfilling needs and bettering policies for educational growth in the community. Nearly 800 students enrolled at Fulton High School appreciate the contributions they are making. 6
