CL uAAed For more than half a century Fulton High School has grown in student BODY AND FACULTY; IN BUILDINGS AND EQUIPMENT; IN EFFECTIVENESS AND SCHOOL SPIRIT. Our SCHOOL WAS ORGANIZED IN 1897 WITH THREE FACULTY MEMBERS TEACHING SEVEN SUBJECTS. In 1911 THE SCHOOL BECAME A MEMBER OF THE NORTH Central Association and has continuously been accredited since that date. It now has a student body of more than five hundred and there are twenty-eight on the faculty. We realize that our school's usefulness is DEPENDENT ON ITS PERSONNEL. So IN THE FUTURE MAY IT CONTINUE TO KEEP FOR ITS MOTIVE, RECOGNITION OF THE WELFARE OF EVERY SINGLE STUDENT. In OUR CLASSES WE HAVE HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO PRACTICE DEMOCRACY FOR WHICH WE ARE DEEPLY GRATEFUL. MAY EACH OF THOSE WHO FOLLOW US CONTINUE TO EN- JOY AND WISELY USE SUCH PRIVILEGES AS OUR SCHOOL BESTOWS. Seniors The Senior Class of 195° started its high school career on September fifth, nineteen hundred iorty-six, with one hundred and eleven members. There are eighty-six of us left which means there HAVE BEEN FOUR YEARS OF HARD WORK, FUN ANO COMPANIONSHIP FOR MOST OF US ALTHOUGH SOME BECAME BORED ALONG THE WAY AND QUIT. WE ARE JUST AN AVERAGE CLASS WHICH HAS NOT ACCOMPLISHED ANYTHING SPECTACULAR, YET, WE HAVE COME IN FOR OUR SHARE OF ACHIEVEMENT IN MUSIC, DRAMATICS AND ATHLETICS. As Sophomores we decorated the gymnasium for the all school dance on Senior Day using the May Day' as the theme. Our Junior year was a busy one as we presented Strange Boarders for our class play. Then the big event of the year was the Junior-Senior Prom. As Seniors, with Adrian Carr as president, Richard Weibel - vice-president, David Gates, as sec- retary, Pauline Rentschler, as treasurer and Mr. John Dixon as our class sponsor we have had a MOST INTERESTING YEAR. SOME OF THE HIGH SPOTS HAVE BEEN THE CLASS PLAY, THE BANQUET AND PROM, GIVEN by the Juniors, and Baccalaureate and Commencement as the grand finale. We shall be able to experience many more rewards in life if we continue to demonstrate the quali- ties which have; been developed during these four years. Then, too, we must remember that Graduation Day does not mark the end for study. Although it brings the end of our high school years, we shall GO ON STUDYING AND DEVELOPING ALL OF OUR LIVES, EVER REMEMBERING THE IDEALS ESTABLISHED AT FULTON High. GLENN ACREE Band I ,2,3,4. T. J. It was a new and exciting day for the Juniors when they started to high school back in 19U7. We MAY NOT BE AN UNUSUAL CLASS BUT MOST OF US HAVE ACQUIRED A CERTAIN DEGREE OF KNOWLEDGE AND HAVE HAD LOTS OF FUN DOING IT. WE LOOK FORWARD NOW EAGERLY TO GRADUATION NEXT YEAR. We selected for our class officers Grace Dunham - President, Carroll Rhey Franklin - Vice-President, Mary Ann Fisher - Secretary and John Sartor - Treasurer. Under their guidance we are having a good year. Miss Lynch and Mrs. Dodd are our sponsors. With the knowledge and experience we are acquiring, we hope to fill our place in the world as good citizens and proud Americans.
