I ffafeaficfozy Parents, Friends, Teachers, and Classmates! As we are gathered here to- night, it is hard to realize our high school days are over. It has been a short four years in which we have worked and played together. le have achieved our first victory. Parents and Prlends, we thank you for the help and encouragement that en- abled us to attain this victory. We like to call it a victory but in reality it is only a temporary achievement, for tomorrow commencement for us really begins. le hope by our future accomplishments to prove we were worthy of the sacrifices you have made that we might secure s high school education. Teachers, we wish to express our appreciation for the assistance and sin- cere efforts you have taken that we may be Walwsys prepared' to meet the pro- blems of the future. lu Jdlassmates, no doubt as we are gathered here tonight, we all have a feeling of uncertainty. What does the future hold for us? Tomorrow we must make our own decisions. At the first class meeting the folloling officers lere elected! President, Peggy Howe: Vice President, Deen Troop: Secretary, Uarjorie Dye: Treasurer, Lois lertin: Class Advisor las Mies Bent. During s deluge of rein, the class produced the three act comedy, 'Lindy Lou' in the Fulton Gym on the evening of Nov. 20. The characters were Lindy Lou played by Lena Zittle: Dick Barry, George 'Junior' Smith: The Duchess of London- berry, Janice Bolyard: Big Boy Roberts, Andres Townsend: Patricia, Patty Pom- eroy: Prunella, lerjorie Dye: Petey, Peggy Hose: Blackstone, Fred Noller: Ethel- burt, Alethen Chaffin: Uncle T. Timothy Tweedsome, Dean te, Virginia Allen. Despite the inclement weather, the Troop: Dolores del lon- play was lall attended. lr. Dilts became 'class At the beginning of the girls' basketball s ason, advisor. The second semester John Perritt was elected remained Vice President: June Cooper became Secretary and George Smith, Treasur- er. The Seniors end faculty nere the guests of the class at a Prom, 'Tropical Hag1c,' on May 7. During the year three students, Norma Ayers, Donald loore, and Lois lertin left. President. Dean Troop
