CZCUJ 29zopfzecy It was in the summer of 1947, while I at in my comfortable seat on the plane, the Silver Swan, that I noticed two people who reminded me of two of sy classmates from Fulton. I inquired of the atewardees who the two passengers were sitting in the front eeet. She told me they were Bernice Wemanle and Ewe- lyn Baylle. Thrilled with the thought of seeing two former classmates of '43,' I went forward and took the seat next to them, which happened to be unoccupied. Bernice looked at me ln great surprise end said, 'lel1, Donna Psyneln le dldn't lose any time ln getting rescqualnted, hut started in at once to discuss what each had been doing since we had been graduated. Evelyn related her experience as a IAVB during the war. After the war she took up nursing and has worked up until she la heed nurse at a large hospital ln Chicago. In her last picture she played opposite Mickey Rooney.' 'It seems Robert Baxter has stepped into his father's shoes. He is Jeni- tor of Fulton Township Schools.' 'Harlan Coakley has finally made up her mind as to which man is to be her husband. It appears that Harry is the favored one.' 'Ervin Cook is the operator of a large skating rink in New 0rleens.' 'Margaret Delott has finally settled down. I don't know who the luckyman is, b t it could be Benny, you know.' 'Prank Divish has e farm of his own now. 'le seemed to have finished just in time, for I see we are nearing our destination, and the stewardess is coming to tell us to fasten our safety belts. Hasn't this been a wonderful trip?
