RSITY CLU This year the Varsity Club has added several members to its enrollment. The Varsity Club acts as a board of control for the Boys' Athletic Association since the members of the B. A. A. must have earned a letter in some major sport. This year the club consisted of thirty- five members, two of whom have made letters in three major sports: football, football, basketball and track. These boys are Kenneth Miller and Clifford Johnson. Varsity Club members this year have been selling refreshments at the football games and track meets in order to raise funds so that several members of this club could see the state finals in basketball at Champaign. O O O The Girls' Athletic Association was the year with a membership of 74, which later increased to 85. Miss Oldefest spon- sored the organization. Officers were: President, Donna Housengag Y-President, Jane Mohrmang Sec-Treasurer, Monica Hartg Point Man, Helen Murphy: Student Council Representative, Betty Balk. The GAA has many objectives-prim cipally to teach the members the funda- 2 mentals of the games and to promote good sportsmanship. This past term many good times have followed each other in rapid succession. The basketball tournament was climatic, and the Seniors came out on top. The Freshmen won second place.
