FRE HMAN CLASS On September 2, 1947, 72 freshmen entered Fulton High with four years to look forward to. During the year 7 of the original frosh left us and 3 new members joined us. At our first class meeting we elected officers as follows: President. Clifford Crandallg Vice-President, Harlan Housen- gag Secretary, Ramona Grayg Treasurer, Charles Flikkemag Student Council Rep- resentatives, Joyce Chase and Art Sikkema. Miss Posey is class sponsor. An initation party was given at the Coliseum to Welcome the frosh to Fulton l Il ll I High. At the party the girls wore burlap bags, rag curls and carpet slippersg the boys wore their trousers rolled up above their knees, and fancy girls' blouses. All the freshies wore green caps and lemon necklaces, with strings of tin cans tied be- hind them. In May the freshmen sponsored an all-school party. Basketball seemed the most popular sport this year. John Blodgett was mana- ger and Tommy Yopst assistant manager of the junior varsity team. Ramona Gray was elected cheerleader. Football queen's attendant was Mary Lou Braun. rw w rw I l l l Isl 1 I 1 l 111 x Ill J P 1 . Q Q 5 t Q6 E Ilrwk lbw: .lam-e1 Klnvn ggi, XY1.yu1.- I'4-1-wsmn. f 'lI l'l'l'IlllI I .Xrziwld l'x'--slly.
