The concluding chapter for athletics lies with the track team--and this the last sport, is over As we prlnt this book, only the State meet, at Chamoaitn Urbana, is left, and, of course, we don't know whether or not any Red and Black repre sentatives wlll be there, but we'll guess ln the affirmative Wlth Snyder leadlng the team, it took second place in the flrst meet of the newly formed Vest Side Conference Thls consists of Morrison, Ful ton, Erle, and Prophetstown and they flnlshed 1n Just that order The polnt makers for the Red and Black ln that meet were Snyder, Voss,Lawrence, A wlersema, Vuncy, Krlckovich, and the relay team made ue of Drury, Mltchell, WlSFS6m8, and Voss E1Uht6PU of Fulton's thlrty slx polnts were plcked up by Bud Snyder wlth three flrsts and a second ln four events enter d In the secomd me t whlch was the County con test held at St8lllHQ F H S dld not fare ulte so well they had to be content with 171 polnts and fourth place On the whole, the team looked plenty good,and as we go to press, we will all b surprised lf a couple of the boys don't no to State The climax of the soortinv season this year was the May Fete whlch was held on May 19, and lS described elsewhere ln this book 27 1 C .
