Dear Diary, I 4 i September 35 girls joined the G A A under Miss Ruth Becker's supervlsion We elected offi cers and Mary E Mohrman is president, Phyllis Cossman lS vice president,Irene Hoogheem is secr tary, and Charlene Shear is sports manager We had a breakfast hike to Eagle Point and the other nlght we went on a supper hike to F1ikkema's Woods October Tonight we had a masquerade party at school Prizes were given for the best costumes November Eleven girls went to the Prophetsto n play day Cllffy took us in his car January The Seniors finally won the girls lnter class basketball tournament We took the under class teams llke Fulton took Morrlson February We sent for the 50 polnt membershlp plns Other awards are given when we have earned from 600 to 2000 polnts March Tonight at the nSpinster Sprecn we played all kinds of games We girls acted as ho tesses April We had a plng pong tournament and a Mother and Daughter Banquet We gave out the awards then May Instead of our Jamboree this year tne boys' and irls gym classes put on a May Fete It was grand lhe money we made from lt and selllng can dy at the basketball games we spent for new equlp ment and awards May 6 we had our sprlng play day Hvwwwwwwww 25 J Q e cf e to 1:5 In ' ff '-:Z rig' VA:

So Fulton went out and towed in a pep club The Fulton Stems ers to you What could be more appropriate for all these Dutchmen than a Mayflower straight from the Zuider Zee? Our f1PSt pep meeting inspired our nFlying Dutchmen to go out and bring back our first vic tory of the season We yelled ourselves hoarse in the gym and wore out our wooden shoes snake danc 'ng all over town A similar pep meetlng and snake dance was staged the night before we played Morrison That night we burned an effigy of Morr ison The next night they burned us at the game The last pep meeting was something to remem ber A thrilling horse race between Moline and Fulton was hold and the dark horse, Fulton, came out ahead A group of alumni Dutchmen acted judges and provided a background for the meeting The first ten of our Holland boys, along with the manager and coach, were presented wlth roses They should have been tullps The pep club conslsted of twenty five stu dents who wore their Steamer emblems and plns and supported the team at the games, The four cheep leaders,Jackie Leslie,Jim Field,Lyle Hoogheem, and Helen Field, led the pep club and student body in their chocring It 1S to them that go the honors for our successful pep meetlng W NWFE 24 ya-avffgfff my
