gfsoufyuluuvw , - xv, . t . WRESTLING In their first year of wrestling, Fulton High Grapplers came through a tough schedule to a near- 5OO percentage. The co-captains, Gerald Muncy and Sly Krickovich, led the team through an eight meet schedule winning three, tying one, and los ing the remainlng four The season got off to a good start when Gor anson's Grapplers defeated the Davenport Sopho mores by a close score of 17 The next four matches were defeats for the Red and Black, and were delivered in order by Clin- ton, Stockton, Cllnton again, and the Davenport varsity With this gain in experience, two of the next three were won by Goranson's proteges Cinclud- ing the last one, with Savannal, and the other with Stockton, Illinois High School,was tied 17 17 After the regular schedule was finished, the team was sent to the District Meet at Maywood Illinois, where the various wrestlers of this vicinity were to compete for the honor of wrest ling in the State Meet at Champaign and Urbana Only Bill Lawrence, representing F H S in the 135 pound class, was able to survive, winning a second place, and the chance to grapple at State Bill was defeated in his first round, but it is really an honor to fight your way to the State Tournament ln your first year of competition, So ended the wrestling schedule, and in the record of this athletic team, Coach Perry A Gor anson has another feather 1n his cap U 21

Ukizfiiviewefe FRESHMAN BASKETBALL The Frosh of 58-59 put forth one of the 'best teams the lower classmen at Fulton have known.
