CLASS HISTORY The class of 1958 was the first class to receive a formal orientation into Fulton School. September 13 through September 20, 1954, saw a record issue of assembly tickets for running the elevator, Freshmen were not allowed to walk on the lawns, use the or be seen in the upper corridors without special permission from a teacher. I Class officers for the year were: President, Sharon Sutcliffe, Vice President, Frances Taylor, Mary Crahan, and Treasurer, Barbara St. Onge. The sale of fudge started our treasury under the direction of our advisor, Mr. Stevenson. Bobby Sox was our contribution to the Three One-Act Plays. The cast included Mary Lucille Wasicko, Patrick Walsh, Rosalyn DelBrocco, Carl Fiorini, Harold Wilbur, and james Famous firsts for us were our own Freshman Frolic, our first Variety Show, The Student our first junior Prom, and Twirp Week. As sophomores our leaders were: President, Terry Fistickg Vice President, Sybil Loosen, Karen Anderson, and Treasurer, Anthony Vannucci. With Mr. Abbott as our advisor for projects included the annual sale of ribbon candy at Christmas time and a successful record Our Sophomore Play, Love Hits Wilber, won a best-actor award for its star, Edward Supporting him were Harrison Anthony, Patricia Cardinali, Karen Steinitz, Madge Turner, and Rice. Advising us, as juniors, was Mrs. Murphy. Chosen as class officers were: President, Patrick Vice President, Anthony Vannuccig Secretary, Antoinette Cincotta, and Treasurer, Kathrine initial projects, we sold note paper and sponsored the first record hop in F.H.S. ever to' be by a disc jockey. Stage productions contributed highly to the success of our junior Class. March 1 marked the the first junior Assembly in three years - our Junior Assembly. The show, Varieties of Carl Fiorini as master of ceremonies and Ann Keiser as director. As the star of Nobody junior Play, Karl Grutter won the second best actor award for us. Others in the cast were Karen Janice Hackett, Suzanne Rose, and Patricia Cardinali. A In the fall of 1957, as seniors, we again elected officers. Patrick Walsh was elected President unanimous vote, with James Stoddard as Vice President, Kathrine Rath as Secretary, and Marlene zow as Treasurer. Mrs. Murphy was again our advisor. ' The annual Senior Variety Show, This is Your Life, was presented on November 20, 1957 star of the show was not disclosed until the night of the performance, when we honored Mrs. owner of The Coffee Shop. Master of ceremonies was Anthony Vannucci, while Ann Keiser as student director. Special features of the show, directed by Miss Hungerford, were a boys line, a girls' chorus line, and a mixed chorus line. Officers for the 1958 FULTONIAN were then chosen, with Carolyn Sovie as Editor-in-Chief. October the FULTONIAN staff held a dance in the gym. With the admission price. applied as first yearbook payment, approximately two hundred tickets were sold. Other senior events to be remembered were our Senior Play, Dino, Vest and Apron Day, and Senior Banquet. One of our senior class members was Irene Verbrugge, the first foreign student ever to attend, Fult High School under the auspices of the American Field Service. Irene, a resident of Utrecht, Nethe lands, lived at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fred L. Gibbons during her stay. The Class of 1958 was honored with many firsts during its four years, but there are many mor firsts to come. We hope that our class history may bring memories to those who graduated befor us, and inspire those destined to' come after us to strive for greater knowledge and the firsts o
