: THE FULTONIAN a 4 Poetry Club Under the leadership of Miss Hague the Poetry Club was organized in the fall of ,39 and started activities this year. The aim of the club is to acquaint students with the poets and their works, the fundamentals of Writing, and the study of composing poems. The members have made a collection of original poems and hope, in the future, to make a complete book of these. Throughout the year the club held parties and entertained various speakers. Among those were Miss Davidson and Miss Johnston. VVith the help of Miss Anderson, one of the faculty advisors, the students have attempted choral reading. The emblem of the club is a scroll with a pen and a P for poetry. Although it is a small organization, it hopes to arouse interest and to prove that poetry isn't just sissy stuff.
