---- u ,-,----- ---- ------ Hur- --f ' H 'ff' lUlL'l'ONlFOlR'U M 5 History of the .lunior Class umm N the sixth day of September, in the year of our Lord, nineteen hundred and twenty-six, there might have been seen ambling, trotting, cantering, shullling, stepping, strolling, strutting, running and walking about the building of Fulton High School, some two hundred and Hfty newcomers who were gathered for the purpose of beginning a high school career. We, the first Freshman class to begin our four-year course in the new building, planned to function as a well-balanced machine, bringing honor and credit to ourselves, our class and our school. During this first year we furnished ten boys for the band, one for the basket-ball team and two for baseball, besides a large number of those active in the clubs. A Freshman won the U. D. C. medal. We also had twenty- nine on the Honor Roll, this being the largest number from one class to win that distinction in one year. This record stands up until the present time. As an engine operates much better after it has had time to run and warm up, so did the class of '3O. Our number was quite a few less than the previous year, some unfortunate ones being precipitated out by the faculty or by other means. This year, as in our Freshman year, was well represented in athletics, con- tests and clubs. The prizes that were awarded for the IOOZ classes in Annual subscriptions and Red Cross drives were won by Sophomore classes. We are Juniors. Our class is running as smoothly as before and with more precision. More of our time is required for class work than here-to-fore. This has not caused a lull in outside activities, however, for we are again well represented. We, the Junior Class of '29, expect to be the best Senior Class Fulton has ever had-at least, here's hoping we will be! mlllx l 9 Z 9
