1986 Annual Staff Laura Harris — Editor Mary A. Shaw — Activities Ed. Robin Singcll — Org. Ed. Lisa Avery — Asst. Rccna Jones — Asst. We the Pilot Yearbook Staff of 1986 welcome you to a year at Fulton County. The yearbook is meant to be a visual record of our school year, and we hope that the student body enjoys the product of our efforts. We would like to thank everyone who has contributed to this year’s Annual, and we appreciate everyone's cooperation. A very special thanks goes to Sarah Choate (Class of'81) who did our cover and our other artwork this year just as she has done for so many years. We would also like to thank Sue George for letting us use her house to take pictures. We hope everyone remembers 1985-86 as a good year that we have all enjoyed. 2 Julie Anderson — Asst. Superintendent Dr. Leon Mooneyhan Principal’s Message To the 1986 Graduating Class: Graduation is and should be a happy occasion. It is an important chapter in your young lives, and we congratulate you on your accomplishments. To graduate from high school, however, is only a small part of a larger journey. You will now be entering the adult world whether it be college or working. To be successful you must be prepared to sacrifice and persevere at the same time. You can succeed, but you must set your goals and work hard to achieve them. We believe that you can. You have been a good class to work w ith and with you goes our best wishes for a happy future. 4 Charlotte Allen Aide David Black Agriculture David Gallagher History, Boy's Coach Judy Kelso Home Economics Fulton County High School Faculty and Staff Jeanic Byrd Special Ed. GIVING AMERICA HOPE 69 The various classes, clubs, and activities of our school do much to show the versatility and cooperativeness of the students, faculty, and members of the community. Ac- tivities include homecoming (2) as the football team gets ready for the parade and Beta initiation (4) as refreshments are ready. Student versatility is shown as Roy Bishop models for FHA (3), cheerleader captain, Carey Graham, directs the band (5), John Williamson plays the drum (14), and quarterback, Oscar Bishop, cleans up his kitchen (6). The Miss FCHS pageant may be the epitome of cooperativeness as the contestants rehearse (8, 11), student stage hands get the props (9, 10), and adults serve as sound men, emcees, and judges (12, 13, 15). 70 71 Clubs are not all refreshments and parties. They provide a different form of learning from the normal classroom and a form of competition off the athletic playing field. FFA COMMITTEE CHAIRMEN CHEMISTRY TOURNAMENT — A. Mikel, J. George, A.
