“
THE PILOT FOREWORD Our years after graduation will be the most im- portant ones of our lives. We must set our goals carefully and then strive to attain them. In order to make our youthful dreams become reality, we must work. Fulfilling these dreams will be difficult, but not impossible. Maturity and flexibility are the primary elements which will determine our success or failure. The world is constantly changing, and, in order to succeed, we must have the maturity to face it without qualms and the flexibility to change with it. If we hesitate or become complacent, our dreams will shatter, and we will be heard vainly echoing regret that “It might have been! _________________________ TABLE OF CONTENTS IN MEMORY OF We the annual staff would like to show our deep appreciation to Mrs. Myra Belle Bondurant by dedi- cating to her the 1967 PILOT. She was a beloved teacher and a warm friend. All of us at one time come to her with our petty problems, which she cheer- fully helped us solve. She has gone from us now, but by this simple act we hope that her memory will be remembered in the halls of Fulton County High. So, we give her our long hours of work that went into our yearbook and dedicate it to her, who dedicated herself. 5 OUR PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE Each year the time seems to go just a little faster than the year betore, and graduation time is here before we realize it. It always saddens me to a certain degree to see students leave because of the association I have had with them. but. on the other hand, 1 feel proud to have had the opportunity to share a small part in your young, 6ay, carefree, joyous, un- predictable, and maturing lives. It is my sincere wish that each of you will find the kind of life that will be most suitable to you and become good citizens. 6 Harold Garrison Oh, Boy! I hope today isn’t like yesterday! Mr. Garrison is a principal who under- stands students. His easy going manner makes students feel comfortable in his pre- sence. We salute you Mr. G. and we will miss you in the years to come. For the past two years our Cheerleaders have brought home the Cheerleader Sportsmanship Trophy for this district. Steve, known and liked by his fellow students, has played on the top five of tire Pilot's basketball team for three years. He was recently injured during one of our games. It was a great loss, but the team didn't give up. It seemed that this made them play harder. Fulton County has produced some great athletes, but none as great or as well loved as Steve Shelton. 95 Johnny Bacon Marion Warren TOP Richard Cagle David Ward Gerald Smith SENIOR PILOTS FIRST ROW, Left - right; Nancy Sanger, Shelia Bass, SECOND ROW; E.
